How a Pasta Addict (me) Survives Without Grains

Let me just give you a little background about me and pasta; 

I LOVE pasta. 


I mean, really love it. 

I crave it more than anything else, and I think I should've been born Italian since I could live off pasta and never get bored. 

I don't think I'm the only one (I know you're out there!).

I love good pasta so much I got a hand-cranked pasta machine and used to make my own semolina lasagna & ravioli & fettuccine... Sometimes I would add fresh herbs to my pasta dough and let me tell you...it was the BOMB. 

 

I can gallons of homemade sauce from my organic tomatoes and freeze dozens of ziplok baggies full of fresh, homemade pesto in the Fall just to enjoy with my beautiful pasta.

So, yeah, I guess I'm a pasta addict. 

 Well, I've shared my ongoing journey with the Whole30 HERE, and how grains (including gluten free pasta) are not good for me and cause systemic inflammation.  

 

No grains, no pasta, right? 

What's a pasta-lovin' girl to do?


 

I'll be honest with you; there is nothing that can replace homemade pasta.

But, when you are having a serious craving, and are trying so hard not to cave, you need something to fill the void.
